The Challenge: The American Dental Association approached us about re-imagining the identity for their governmental liaison arm.

The client wanted to retain a measure of their brand equity, yet allow this wing of the organization to stand alone.

After exploring several directions, I arrived at this solution, leveraging the double-stroked portions of the letter forms in the original brand to extend on the second "A" in the logo to create the stripes of a stylized American flag, allowing the draping of the flag to be cradled by the word mark placed below.
